Once, there was a little boy named Tommy. Tommy loved to eat candy! His mommy told him not to eat so much candy, but Tommy never listened.

One day, Tommy's mommy and big sister Sally were busy in the kitchen. Sally went to the big kid's school, all the way across town. Sally's school was having a bake sale. All the kids in the big kid's school were making cakes and cookies, and then they would sell them.

There were so many cakes! Chocolate cakes, vanilla cakes, strawberry cakes. Round cakes, short cakes, cakes with a hole in the center filled with whipped cream. All the cakes you could bake!

Ring! Ring! Someone was calling on the telephone. Tommy's mommy went to answer it. It might be important!

There were so many cakes... Only Sally was left in the kitchen.

Then suddenly, Sally took off her baking apron.

“I'm taking a break,” said Sally. “I'm tired of baking, I'm going to watch TV.”

Sally left the room.

Tommy was alone, with all those cakes! Chocolate cakes, vanilla cakes, strawberry cakes. Round cakes, short cakes, cakes with a hole in the center filled with whipped cream. All the cakes you could bake!

Poor Tommy. He knew he wasn't allowed to have the cakes. But they looked so good. No one was around.... Maybe they wouldn't notice one little cake?

Tommy crawled up onto the counter top. There was a big, chocolate covered, pudding filled, cherry-on-the-top cake right in front of him!

Tommy didn't even use a fork. Not even a plate! He ate and ate.

Soon, all the cakes were gone! Tommy's tummy hurt. He was so full, he thought he might burst.

Tommy's mommy and big sister Sally came back in the room. Sally screamed, mommy dropped her cooking spoon on the floor.

“I'm sorry,” Tommy said. “I shouldn't have ate so many cakes.”

“You should have ate any at all!” mommy said, quite loudly.

“My tummy hurts,” Tommy said.

“Tommy, you have to help us bake all these cakes again,” his mommy told him. “And you can't watch your favourite cartoons for a week.”

Tommy was horrified! He didn't want to see another cake as long as he lived, and he certainly didn't want t miss Blue's Clues!

“Do I have to, mommy?” he said.

“Yes, that is what happens when you eat too much cake.”

So Tommy helped mommy and big sister Sally bake, bake, bake!

NO PUN INTENDED

Donald liked to play with his food. His mother did not like it when Donald played with his food. He joyfully ate his supper of pasta, babbling about his day.
“Hey mom, what do you call a fake noodle?” He asked.
“I don’t know dear.” She responded.
“An impasta.” Donald said snickering. Donald’s mother groaned, and his father hid a smile.
The next day at school, Donald asked Teacher a very important question while learning about alligators.
“Teacher, what do you call an alligator in a vest?” He asked.
“I don’t know Donald, what?” She asked, rather confused.
“An investigator.” Donald looked smug as the class laughed and Teacher pursed her lips and continued talking.
Soon everyone grew tired of Donald’s bad puns, be he could rattle them off all day.
The following day in history class, Teacher was explaining about trains. Donald piped up.
“You might say this is off track, but I need to use the washroom.”
Teacher sighed, and the class groaned collectively. Teacher handed Donald the hall pass.
“You have got to stop these jokes.” Donald’s friends begged him. Finally after a few bread puns Donald agreed.
That night at the dinner table, Donald declared that he was going to stop making puns.
“Oh thank goodness.” His mother said happily.
“I think knock-knock jokes are a better alternative!” He said, launching into a joke.
“Knock-knock,” He was saying, when is mother groaned loud enough for the whole block to hear
